RT BlogSearch API?

We are currently developing application programming interface and Web API for RT BlogSearch. This will enable programmers to use our service in thir blogs, websites, applications... With the realease of API we will release full documentation,tutorials and examples.

We also have some plans on creating a search widgets for blogs. This widget would enable bloggers to one-click add a search widget on their blog. Search widget will also have options to search through your own posts or subpages or the whole internet.

We will release full details with next version of RT BlogSearch.

Recent bugs fix

We are happy that we were able to fix some bugs that few of our users have reported with last search terms rendering. Last search terms is widget added recently that give insight to our users on what is trending currently, so you can see almost in real-time what are other users searching. Apperently some of our users that were using Internet Explorer were unable to see Last Search Terms widget,and some others could see the suggested terms but were unable to click/follow them.

That is now fixed for all browsers!

Update notes for searching meta tags

We are currently developing new and improved algorithm for searching through collection of blogs with meta-tags. As you might have notice, search results now include blog description with result where available. Main problem with this kind of search is that most blogs don't have description entered and searching trough hundreds of empty tags would result is slowing down search process, you would have to wait 5+ minutes which would be too long to be useful.

After reconsideration we have concluded that it would be best to stick with original search engine algorithm and base our work on more precise results using only match words of titles and blog addresses.We are currently working on new ways to improve searching through blog descriptions in real-time, but this is complex work so we are hopping that we will implement it in future.

For now search results that match your query will either match words in title and blog address, and you will be shown decritption of blog if available,so that you can decide whether to visit certain blog or not.

Recent updates and chages!

We are happy to announce that RT BlogSearch got new makeover and few of the functions improved. As you can see from now you don't have to watch same old boring orange UI. With new blue theme on RT BlogSearch we have added/upgraded some functions:

Loading Screen - Since RT BlogSearch is search engine for blogs in real time, the results are never instant so you have to wait some time before you get your fresh search results. We have added appropriete loding screen that gives users information that it is searching instead of just really long website connecting as it was before.

Changes in the search delay - We have finally take our time to create better user experience. With a new search algorithm, we have cut down search speed by around 50% , so now whenever you want to search for something you will get your results twice as fast!

New news partner?

We have new news widget added on our search engine,after reconsideration we have decided that news that we had before just weren't the best and most interasting from blogging world. We wanted to give our users insight about hot new topics in blogging world. Apart form giving ideas on what to write, our new news widget is showing just the most fresh and hot news so you will always know what is new in this area.

Opening of RT Blogsearch Blog

We are introducing brand new blog search engine which will enable it's users to search trough collection of blogs for given query in real time.Meaning that search results will only filter blogs that changed their content recently. Even in alpha stage this free service was used by many blog news reporting web sites and services.We have recently added functions about search query trending, so users are now enabled to see what is hot in blogging world. So if certain blog is listed in blog index of www.blogger.com it will most likely appear in our search results too.
